Well I did it . I made three floral hats for three lovely ladies heading to Ladies Day

Eileen’s hat was adorned with Strelitzia,, Bird of Paradise flower.  She was a contender for Best Dressed Lady .  Her dress was classic and elegant  and her bag picked up the orange shades of the Strelitzia perfectly.

My two other ladies .

Audrey in black ,, rather than the “Lady in Red” . Her hat was topped with gold metal ribbon formed into tumbling triangles and  finished with Ranunculous in a beautiful golden colour ,

Jemma had the classic Cala Lillies ,this one is called “Captain Romance”. The lilies were wrapped around the hat and I sewed them in place with gold bullion wire .

If you leave Cala Lillies out of water overnight they become floppy and you can twist the stem . They last well out of water.

I have designed hats for brides too . Very soon I will have the photos from my photo shoot  featuring a brideand a flower girl with  hats  by  Floral to a T.
